Tell me what you think this problem is. Had an argument about it.
-Car has leak inbetween the bottom of the timing cover and the block.
-Radiator is always needing to be refilled as does the resovoir.
-Idle drops to 0 rpms then goes back up.
What do you think they are? No specific model..just good ol common car symptoms knowledge.

the rpm thing is probably wiring, unless the motor itself is doing it. the leak i dont really understand. is it water or oil?

Radiator fluid it looks like, but it comes from the timing cover area.

The leak is probably because of a bad gasket, just get a new one. The radiator fluid disappearing is weird, don't know. And the idle problems sounds like a problem with maybe the IACV, or Idle Air Control Valve. This can sometimes get stuck or restricted as the car ages. Either that or you may want to invest in a good ground wire system, maybe with a voltage regulator. It sounds to me like a voltage flow problem.

sounds like a problem with maybe the IACV, or Idle Air Control Valve. I said that, but it fell on deaf ears. I'm glad to see a second opinion. I have no idea what gasket would need to be changed....water pump gasket? If thats the case...juts replace the water pump I would think. I also thought the PCV valve. That could be stuck also. The radiator fluid is still a mystery to me also. Good stuff. Preciate that. Still a few other things to brainstorm on. UTA

more than likely water pump. since on our motors its primarily under the cover, thats where i'd check. as for PVC, i'd just take it off.

well if the PCV was stuck all you have to do is take it out and blow in it if you can blow through it one way and not the other than its fine

i'd put a breather on the valve cover side and block off the intake side.

Good info to know preciate it. I'll see if that is something that is needed for the said individual. I personally will keep that info in mind for myself as well in case I may need that...good look!
