its been said shitty parts make shitty cars shitty lug nuts strip studs, and come loose ive had these cheap ones on since i bought the car, they never gave me a whole lot of trouble until i started takin the wheels off more and more so now after replacing 2 studs, and needing to replace 4 more until im going to drive it again i was wondering what was a good quality brand i looked at buddyclub but they are around $90 and i looked at gorrila automotive about $50ish and muteki around $40ish
im not lookin to spend much over $50 but i dont want to buy somthing thats gonna mess up and have to be replaced again im also lookin to order these before the days up because i want my car driveable asap....obvious? so it anybody knows a good brand with a reasonable price let me know, im also trying to find my threadpitch online right now, i didnt know there was a difference

The "good" lugnut brands or whatever are all around the same price range. Give or take 10 bucks here or there...are you putting your lugnuts on with air or what? next time before you put them shits on make sure your threads are clean and lubed (oh yeah! ;D)

you can get muteki's for a reasonable price at urban. Thats what I have on the 'lude...they're solid

Give or take 10 bucks here or there...are you putting your lugnuts on with air or what? next time before you put them shits on make sure your threads are clean and lubed (oh yeah! ;D) cleaning the threades of lugnuts is good but lubing them is not. that actually can cause problems later. with that said, it depends on what lube you use. and yep, you get what you pay for. another good company is RAD. make sure you get the proper length and seat (cone vs. ball). and to state the obvious, use a good torque wrench.

i also looked at Skunk2 $70ish and PIAA only $30-40ish....but i cant seem to find any pictures of them im gonna hit up costco tomorrow i hear they have some deals, and if i can get them locally then i can fix everything faster, but ill check out enjoy and colortime if costco doesnt work out

i bought new studs and the 'non acorn' stock lugnuts, with the open backs, because i think somebody replaced the studs in the past and used the wrong length because the stock acorn nuts will only fit on the right side....but on the left they wont go tight enough..... coincidently the ones that need to be replaced. But i plan on goin 17s soon and will need new nuts, its between muteki and PIAA, i was worried because i never heard of muteki before but since you guys speak highly of them i might rock those if this doesnt hold im orderin mutekis tonight its such a stupid problem....after all this cars been through to run, somthing so small and simple messes up

Go to walkers auto parts, ne stud/lug we gotta replace we get from them, theyre good and their not expensive, u could prolly get enough for all 4 wheels for about $50 maybe a little more
and yes to reitterate a previous point USE A TORQUE WRENCH, 80 foot lbs, and make sure u start the nut a good ways before puttin the gun to em.

yeah we got a program on the comp at wok that tells the torque specs for every car ever produced (ever), the "average" torque is 80ft lbs. we got torque sticks set to different sizes and torgue (i.e. 17mm 80ft lbs, 7/8" 120ft lbs), 80 ft lbs should be just fine tho, we torque EVERY wheel to that and have NEVER had a problem

put the gun on it, if its too much, it'll break the stud. too loose, it'll come off... thats my theory... lol, not really. on my impact, i usually just put it on the 2nd setting and hit em. call me slack but, i never have a problem. its like 78ft-lbs at 115psi i think?
