you need to figure a size out homie.... you cant just throw a wastegate on for shit n giggles. I know thresher is gonna tell you oh hell no- omg no- Get a big ass SSAC wastegate(40mm+) and it will probably give you no trouble. i've got about 4-5 friends runnin 75mm++ turbo's runnin Ptrim+ and A/R.82's+ exhaust not havin a bit of trouble. the SSAC's make up for the flow they lack in the size of the poppet. -Farlow

bitch don't call me out on that. i would never tell anyone to put a ssac wastegate on their car, especially that pretty kouki. suck on that david!
and by the way, david would tell you to just slap a rotary in that bitch and paint it 4 different colors

ok let me be a little more specific...35mm or 38mm preferably tial or turbonetics...and scratch the low psi spring, looking for something more towards 10 psi

do not buy a turbonetics detlagate... garbage... known for spiking.
Thresher- dont call me out on shit when i've got family members runnin 1300cc motors with 600+ hp usin SSAC shit.
again what is the turbo setup you're runnin? 35 or 38 is probably not gonna be big enough to run low boost(-12lb) set ups with a big exhaust side.

I'm runnuing a TO4E 57 trim .50 AR comp and .84 AR turbine. Untuned I want to run 10 psi boost, but my eventual goal with this setup will be 17-19 psi. Every resource I've checked says 38mm Tial, so thats what i think I'm going to go with...now just have to find one. Also, I've heard too may SSAC horror stories to want to risk it...I'd rather just shell out the dough for something I know will be consistent.

amen, Tim. I an't callin you out, david. I'm calling SSAC. But that's another argument. There are some who truly believe they make quality parts, and there are some who know the truth...

Tim, i honestly would probably source something a little larger to run that low of a boost setting to start with. that will be a lot of exhaust trying to escape from only a 1.5inch hole if you're only runnin 10lbs. i would try and source maybe a 40 to be on the safe side. but, hey, if you've researched all your nissan hommies and thats what they say, go for it. i would ask around and see if thats a good wastegate for that turbo on 10 lbs.
and some who are still ignorant...

Yeah, I hear ya...i'm looking into it more, some say it's absolutely fine, then others have brought up your point that it is a lot of exhaust and a small exit. The other thing is that to keep my stock manifold, they only make external wastegate adapters for 35/38 mm flanges. If I did go 40+ I'd have to fab up something on my own to make it work.
