yeah im not to fond of removing intake every spring just cause i stand the chance of hydrolock... ive gotten good feedback on air bypass valves but figured i shouldnt waste my time on reving to high once and still locking myself up than for the heads up though, ive seen dyno sheets for my honda on stock intake and have gotten better figures than short ram(if sombody wants to help shw me how to post pics i can show you) ive got three sorces of air hoses to pick up air on stock intake(one in fender, 1 under bumper light, and 1 behind the radiator/headlight. i also have about 0 room to put anything in the engine bay, and relocation would be more for a cleaner engine bay...the less crap to deal with the better. not a focus at the time though.

relocations overrated unless you HAVE to have it done, its done on mine, whoopie! nobody notices, it doesnt look cooler to have it in the trunk if anything its just more hassle to have to goto the trunk while your trying to wire stuff under the hood but if it needs to be done it can give up alot of free space, but take out AC PS windsheild spray res. and free up space too...

Mike I think that you're worrying a bit too much about hydrolock. I've driven through tsunamis without having any problems. I think it becomes more of a problem if your car is lowered and if you enjoy driving through puddles and lakes. My cai is protected really well by the wheelguard plastic because it sits right behind it. Also where did you find those dyno sheets thats really interesting

yea, i wouldnt mess with cold air too much, like hydrolock might not be that common, but if it happens...damn. but yea dude, i really wanna see those sheets man because from what i understand the better flow you get the better for your engine, and installing a sr would help, and you improve your throttle response

so before you do anything to the car, you really need to know what are your plans for the car.. NA?, Turbo? FI?
if you going NA.. i recomend this:
intake, header, exhaust,
after that, better intake manifold, high CR pistons, agressive cams+ cam gears (for tunning and runnig on 93 octane)
and if you're serious of runnig NA the get port and polish, better injectors, better fuel pump, and blue print the engine, balance the engine crank shaft and of course, bore out the engine, camshafts springs and retainers ( if you want to make power NA, you need to rev high)
so after all that i guess you better off with just swaping a H22.. or other big honda engine, and then do all that stuff i mentioned.
damm i was bored....
