1.8L adapter plates are stuuuuuupid, i wish i could find somebody to weld to cast iron and have a new plate put on the stock manifold, tubular manifold is out of the question, only one thats worth anything is like $500-600 t3/t4 and yeah i cant drop that change on a manifold and no turbo, plus i heard they crack
im still lookin, bought some more goodys today on my routes about, greddy TT and a oil temp gauge...and car cover, need that SAFC from you tyler, and you know a T25 turbo that you might have just layin around and i should be good to go

i found about 3-4 garrets im looking at on nico right now, and i was informed on atlantamx3 that none of these turbos will fit the stock manifold, so im gonna have to have a flange welded up to make it work
and tim you have pm
and for those who didnt hear, when we took the downpipe off the exhaust turbine was laying inside the downpipe rattelin around, it had snaped in half inside the turbo. fun.

Ahhhh, at least you blew it up good! What pattern flange do you have on the manifold? And also check the downpipe/turbine flange to see how that will mate up. Im sure the guys on the MX3 forums know more than I do, but my RB flange fits a T3 and stock it had a wierd T3/T28 hybrid thing going on....like T28 housings, T3 internals....scary I tells ya to read exactly what I'm talking about: forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=208189

flanges dont matter at this point from what ive heard from the mx3 forums only the IHI turbos will fit the manifold, its somthin smaller than a T25? anyways not concerned with it, im going to have to get an adapter plate made by making a flange of the manifold and then buying a GT28 flange and weldin up together in some weird way, and the downpipe i had made is a very weird 5bolt flange unlike any other common turbo, so im going to get the downpipe flange cut off and weld a new one up
but i think ive decided on buying a rebuilt GT28r, about $350-400 if anybodys got any objections im open to hearin um

personally, go with the GT28, ive heard alot of good things about them, and considering your budget it seems like the right way to go, plus, you will most deffinently make more power, if your lucky enough to keep up with the vdub lol jk...buuuut yea, i would go with that man
