Need input from all members. What "mods" would you like to see done to the forums? In a group webpage, what type of features would you like to see? Just throw in a lil input here n there. Thanks. THE NEW Admin!

maybe a newbie section where they have to receive approval from a Mod to be put into the regular boards. post count doesn't count as much, since some people just whore it up with useless posts.

ok- newbie section sounds like a grand plan. Do you all think it should be just a section for them to post up and say who they are and such or should it be more structured? Would you like for there to be a specific list of questions for them to answer or just a time period/post count of some sort they have to meet? Keep the suggestions coming and changes will keep being made.
So far, the members list has been cleaned up from all the old Screen Names which aren't used anymore. The Wilmington section is gone indefinently unless someone sees a real need for this section. That section was dead and was a group decision to delete.
Again, keep comments and suggestions coming. Feel free to PM Admin and Voice your opinions. Admin is going to stay annonomous asthetically(although, its not too hard to figure out) to who it/they are at the moment so shoot your suggestions this way if you have any questions you wouldn't like to make public, the option is there. Also don't hesitate to PM any moderators. We're having some problems making SOHCMAN an official Mod so far but he is labelled as so.
Thats all for the moment, but again- voice your opinions. This is your group, let your concerns be known.

I agree with erik don't worry about post count cuz like he said the'll have a lot of useless posts. I say maybe don't allow them onto the rest of the boards until you see them make enough useful posts.

The problem with the newbie section is what are they going to post that is going to be "useful." Looks like its going to be a structured newbie section with what they drive with their intentions and such. Still need all the input from members as to that though.

i think a test section might be good. it is the equivalent of the noob section but just allows testing of vid posting or image uploading. i have not seen it for a while but some folks were having trouble with a simple task (relatively speaking) such as that.
i also think that mods need to take a more active role in cleaning up language. i think y'all have done a great job with stepping up and taking care of personal attacks.
now, this suggestion above is if we want to move in the direction that has been discussed, perhaps on the border of ad nauseam, in the poll thread about considering my becoming a mod.
my view of cleaning up language includes no tolerance for any personal attacks, racial slurs, homosexual remarks, etc.
a really good example of what should be patrolled for is "jap." no, it is not a meaningless shortening of japanese. no, it is not okay to say that. it borders on comical that some of y'all say that and make inappropriate comments yet have a love/affinity/liking for japanese imports.
i also think that cussing needs to be eliminated by members and, if it makes it onto a post, mods need to edit it out.
i also think that the off-topic section needs to have "NSFW" in its description. stuff that y'all want to post up that may not be safe for work should be placed in that forum.
and in the classifieds, how about a buyer/seller feedback?
i also think there should be a set day for a monthly meet. for example, nceuro meets on the first tuesday of the month for dinner. i am thinking a saturday or sunday may work best. we should have cruises or drives so our presence in this area is increased. while spirited runs are good, i am referring to planned drives to you-will-be-seen areas such as southpoint, hillsborough cookout, etc.
finally, i think if someone signs up for the forum, s/he should receive an email with a well-written list of the rules as established by the mods.
i have more suggestions but these are a good start of what has been on my mind.
later.

i think we should have a off topic flame section bc i have to say all my bad things somewhere or the site would be boring. once i stop using bad language the site will be all cleaned up as far as cussing and racial slurs, but they belong somewhere. proper english should be used for the most part no e thug shit.(oops i cused) but at the same time if your motor blows up you shouldnt get edited or deleted for saying motherfucking piece of shit god damn car. bc it happens all the time(kyle,me,tyler etc) but def. less gay jokes in normal threads for sure.for a while thats all that kept the boards alive was who's horny and stupid shit but the site is getting bigger and growing so its time to step up to a more moddest way of acting.

I love the idea of a set monthly meet. It will give people a chance to get their plans organized leading to better turnout. The club also needs to find a good meet spot...I'm almost positive this will be cookout, but it would be cool to broaden our horizons and steak out new turf.
On to the issue of cleaning up language... I am not one to use profane language or politically incorrect references to gender, race, ethnicity, etc...but I feel that this is a part life, which if need be reflected in the posts on this board, should not be censored. There is a reason that so-and-so decided to drop f-bombs left and right about a concept that he/she disagrees with, to them it shows passion. You or I may be offended but thats why so-and-so choose that specific language, for the effect. Censorship on a syndicate as such crosses the line a bit for me, and what rights I feel entitled to. I am strongly against this idea.
On the other hand though....C-speed, have some tact. Thank you.

To resturcturing the board....
haha, I love the term eugene, ad nauseam is very apt to describe the direction that issues headed, but...
I feel that the boards moderators should be assigned specific sections to which they may have a better understanding of or special interest in. This way a more organized watch, as well as a more "fine-toothed" approach can be taken to editing said section.
**This could open up +++ mod spots!**
