C&W Machine Shop, Sloan Auto Parts has a machine shop, and Walkers Auto Parts has a machine shop. C&W and Sloans is of Mangum St, C&W just past Mike's Transmission on the left and Sloans is on the right little ways after the stop light just past C&W. Walkers is off I believe Washington St, behind the old Durham Bulls Park. Don't know if ne of them could do somethin on such short notice but they may be able to. And also depends on what ur getting done if they can do it. Hope this helps.

tim, what do you need welded? i would suggest chambers automotive in timberlake for your welding needs. matt and myself made a pretty good contact with the guy there that does all the cage welding and fabrication for a lot of circle track race cars in the area. its up 501 about 5 miles north of rougemont across from the rinky dink car wash. he'll do a very good job at a extremely reasonable price. go in and ask for mike. their phone number is 336-364-7713 if you'd like to inquire about the work first. tell em skittles sent you. if you want some flanges made though, definently the old timers at durham braising and welding. don't make judgements on the appearance of the place. it looks shitty, but they've been in business for 70+ years. they have made a number of flanges for me and nick also. you'll need to bring them something to punch a pattern out of though. Gaskets make a very good stencil usually because they hand make everything. nothing computer generated. they'll take their time on it, possibly a few days, but they'll get it done. i've never paid more than 20$ for anything up there. when you walk in, just check with the old man in the office to the right. be courteous and talk it up with him and he'll hook you up. tell him the guys from clean green told you to come up there and that you know tim wilkinson. tim is good friends with the owner.

Went to Durham Brazing and Welding this morning, great shop. However, the do not have the capability to work with pipes, so they are just going to weld a new flange onto my old dump pipe. Also, they dont have a lathe so some of the work on my dump pipe flange had to be "outsourced" to C&W Machine Shop off of Hillsboro Rd. All in all, I am getting all the work done that I need, its just more complicated and taking a little bit longer than I had hoped.
And for my wastegate dump pipe...they told me just to take it to a muffler shop to have a pipe welded to the flange.
Overall, though I haven't seen the final product, I recommend Durham Brazing and Welding... they were very helpful and were willing to work with me to get what I wanted done.
